While festive greetings and wine are undoubtedly delightful, we invite you to consider a New Year and Christmas gift with profound meaning – one filled with values for change, independence, and stories that matter.

In Vidi Vaka, we embrace the Christmas tradition that reflects our dedication to making a positive impact on our society. This year, instead of sending gifts to friends, supporters, and collaborators, we joyfully continue the tradition of supporting people, communities, and organizations, as well as all the heroes and heroines in our society who are making changes and contributing to creating diverse aspects in journalism.

Stories that made a difference in 2023:

Initiated by Vidi Vaka, international chess player Risto Donev received the “Charter” of Macedonia from President Stevo Pendarovski.

Two years after the story “Thirst on the Road,” students from the village of Drenovci were in the National Bank, received school supplies, and by the end of the year, they also received computers and heaters.

Vidi Vaka has been advocating for the nurturing and protection of the Macedonian language for the past seven years.

Vidi Vaka received appreciation from the Cystic Fibrosis Association for media support in their fight for the medicine Trikafta.

At the event “Playing Together Again” we all sent a message that beauty lies in diversity.

If you appreciate our idea and mission, we invite you to continue following and supporting us in the future.

The team at Vidi Vaka and IDEA Southeast Europe Foundation wishes you happy holidays and a peaceful, independent 2024!
